It’s MysticMag’s pleasure to introduce Alexa LittleStar, a seasoned hypnotherapist and alchemist whose journey into the esoteric arts led her to the profound intersection of healing and self-discovery. Delving into her unique approach blending hypnotherapy, alchemy, and tarot, she shares her insights on transformative healing and the power of inner alignment. Enjoy!
When did you get interested in hypnotherapy and how did it become your profession?
Growing up I was interested in all the esoteric arts, finally diving into studies and inquiry in my thirties. Tarot, astrology, alchemy, the kabbalah, and some native American studies as well.
I knew early on that my life as an artist was definitely guided by energies I could not explain.
Where this guidance came from was revealed to me through deep work with my own subconscious mind. Self-induced trance seemed to happen when I underwent artistic processes of any kind. Being in the now and soaring with inspiration, I understood that these energies needed my ego to step aside and let spirit run the show. When my flow stopped through illness and temporary depression I knew something had to change. Life had me down and old destructive patterns and beliefs popped up and wanted my attention. Alchemical healing was the arena I had been searching for my whole life.
I suffered from an autoimmune condition in my early forties. I approached an alchemist I found on the internet who was close by. After one somatic healing workshop, I signed up to become certified in Hypnotherapy. I realized I loved the Study of Alchemy with such passion, that I would not settle for simply practicing it; I had to share my love of knowledge through teaching. While getting my certification I decided I would become a trainer, teacher, and practitioner of Alchemical Hypnotherapy.
As Carl Jung said, “Alchemy is the Medicine of the future”.
What is alchemical hypnotherapy and how is it different from other forms of hypnotherapy?
Alchemical Hypnotherapy is the understanding and manipulation through the alignment of cosmic energy, both internal and external, for the healing of one’s body and soul. Like the old Chemist in the lab, alchemy is the facilitation of inner resources through which a person can transmute what ails them into what helps them, “turning lead into gold”.
Like the old alchemist in the laboratory, soul alchemy is the inner work a person can do to turn their “Lead into Gold.” The Lead being the dis-ease and fragmentation of their inner being resulting in discord in the outer world. The client becomes aware of their negative core beliefs and is able to review their trauma and change the course of their life with sustainable inner resources. Whether it’s an inner architecture we call the inner family, spirit guides, animal spirits, and direct communication with their higher self. This modality provides all the information to the client directly from the inside as they discover themselves and get a chance to take responsibility for their created issues and illness. This happens through thorough and precise facilitation. Helping with negotiation and hypnotic language and metaphors to aid the process. The facilitators keep their agenda, ideas, or psychic impulses to themself and allow the client to do the work.
Most forms of hypnosis are script-based. The therapist induces trance and then reads a positive suggestion script to the client. Although clients are suggestible, most script-based hypnosis is not sustainable or lasting. It’s an external process much like a massage which after you can get tense again when the effect ebbs of. Alchemical Hypnosis connects the client with inner resources and self-healing potential. The information is not coming from me but the inner spiritual world of the client. It is a very interactive process and collaboration between the client, spirit, and the trance facilitator. That ensures clients that they are indeed the ones doing the healing. I am merely a facilitator who is highly trained in navigating the unconscious safely.
What is the purpose of the Archetypal You Circle and who is it for?
My first passion is art. Being a lover of archetypes who play an essential role in my work, I developed a divination tool for anyone that wishes to dive a bit deeper into the world of archetypes. We know from Jungian Psychology that we all carry several archetypes within us. These archetypes run and or influence our output and doings in the world. Using my photography and channeled words skills I created this embodiment workshop that introduces these archetypes. I chose 12 to keep it simple and this game is to be used for individual practice as well as an expanded workshop that can last anywhere from 3h to 3 days depending on the participants. Choosing an archetype card works just like pulling a rune or tarot card. It provides insight and confirmation. This is also offered as an in-person photoshoot. Yet another tool to learn and feel these inner energies and work on coming to alignment within oneself.
What role does Tarot play in your work?
In my quest for understanding myself and the process of soul alchemy, I was fascinated by the divination tool of the tarot. Over the years I deeply dove into this confirmation tool. I can interpret the cards’ symbols and content with the help of literature that comes with the deck. I use the tarot before I see clients to allow myself to tap into the clients’ world and find that my reading matches what the client presents in our pre-induction interview.
Secondly, I provide an alchemical tarot reading that goes beyond the purpose of confirmation and is not the traditional way of reading the Tarot. In Alchemical Tarot we solely use the actual image of the cards the client chooses to become the cards’ content, symbols, and figures. Through a mild trance state, the client can use the imagery to get context and spirit messages for their presenting issue. Whether it’s a dream they had or a complex issue. Alchemical tarot is a tool to use the subconscious mind to reveal important data for the client.
There are several spreads much like in traditional Tarot reading that help with the framework of a session.
What is your favorite part of your work?
My destiny is helping people cure soul sickness. My mission is to use the art of Hypnosis and Alchemy. Aiding people to find alignment and harmony within themself is a visceral sensation I feel after each client. It is a state of deep love and satisfaction I have developed for people who are courageous and willing to start their inner work, in alchemical terms their “Opus Magnum”.Knowing from my own experience what it feels like not to need external sources to heal most conditions on the physical, mental, emotional, and causal plane is so empowering. Sharing that with others is the ultimate way to enhance the global frequency of healing one client at a time.
My deepest wish is that people become more self-aware of their impact in the world. Their spiritual and emotional hygiene to be specific. This self-awareness creates a better togetherness that has room for compassion, forgiveness, self-healing, and unconditional love.
I would like to end this interview with my favorite quote from Albert Einstein: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
