How and when did you discover your psychic gifts?
I’ve always known that I was a little bit different. I grew up as the black sheep of the family, and really hid that for a long time because I didn’t want to be the weird one. However, things eventually just got stronger, and I wasn’t able to turn things off. The final catalyst was my husband passing away. At that point on, I opened up all those doors that I had shut for so long. I started hearing and seeing things in public that I knew I could not ignore anymore, so I dove in, and the rest is history.
Can you walk me through one of your psychic readings?
Absolutely. Most of my readings are going to be 30 minutes in length, and I will always spend the 1st 15 going over everybody’s current situation. I’m going to look at those big categories of life – like health and wellness, career/finance/money-type issues, as well as family, friends, relationships, and love life. Love life is often a big one for most people. After that, I’ll spend the next 5-10 minutes bringing people down. If anybody wants to talk to somebody who has crossed over, I always open that door. Then, most importantly, I always leave time for questions at the end.
What are your psychic parties like?
They are so much fun! I try to keep the group small. I truly feel that a small, intimate setting provides people with a more memorable experience. That’s why I usually go for about 5-10 people and a few hours in length. Similarly to the way I do my individual readings, I like to spend individual time with each person, for around 15 minutes each. We’ll usually take my 30-minute reading and just small-scale it. So, I breeze through those big subjects, then, of course, I leave time for people who have crossed over and want to come down, which is almost always the case in groups. Of course, I also leave time for questions, too. However, my favorite part is actually wrapping up the party at the end. I love to have people ask questions and pick my brain. All of it just makes for a really fun night.
What sets you apart from your colleagues?
I think what sets me the most apart is that I truly do try to focus on the human side of things. Grief is a really big topic in a lot of my readings. I believe I get a lot of people who are deeply grieving because I’ve spent so much of my own life deep in grief, and I can relate and understand where people are at when they are in that spot.
I think that I can take both, the intuitive/spiritual side and the human, raw healing side of grief, and merge them together so that people feel a little bit more related to and less lonely. I think that that’s what makes my style unique – that I’m taking that human element of grief and really tying it in with the spiritual side.
What is your favorite part of your profession?
I love those “Aha!” moments. I love the connections. I love it when people leave my readings and say “This makes so much more sense now. Thank you so much for explaining this in a way that I finally understand. I feel like I finally have a direction.” People come to me with random puzzle pieces in their hands, and then they leave with pieces put together. It’s truly my honor that I get to help people connect those dots. I take so much pride and privilege in the fact that I get to help people navigate some of the very hardest parts of their lives. I don’t ever take that for granted.
Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
I truly pride myself in trying to relate to nearly everybody. I enjoy having a broad spectrum of clients. Nowadays, we’re getting a ton more men come in for readings, which we really never saw before, and it’s so dang cool. I think that the world of spirituality, whatever that means to you, is getting to be very broad and welcomed in many more circles. I think that’s a beautiful thing and I’m honored to help everybody navigate their journeys.
