How did astrology find you, and how has your 25 years of experience shaped your approach to astrology readings?
In 1988, I crossed paths with a couple who were astrologers. They asked if I’d had my chart done, which was a totally foreign concept to me. I eagerly agreed, and they handed over a sheet covered in calculations, planets, and symbols. It struck me profoundly—why wasn’t astrology part of our education? It’s about understanding oneself deeply, exploring life direction, purpose, everything encompassing math, language, history, and more. The absence of astrology from education has stripped away its enchantment and magic, leaving a world longing for that aspirational connection. I believe bringing astrology back to education could restore this missing element. My mission has been to enlighten people about astrology’s importance, offering readings that are not just about fortune-telling but also about expanding minds and personal growth. I strive to show that astrology isn’t just chit-chat; it’s a profound understanding of oneself and the world, a mirror reflecting the connection between celestial happenings and our lives.
Could you explain how astrology, as a spiritual science, can provide valuable insights and guidance to individuals in various aspects of their lives?
I’ve written my first astrology book, and it took a while because I noticed that many astrology books rehash the same information through generations. I wanted to create something unique, so I self-published a book called “The Divine Order.” In it, I explore the shift in perception from ancient geocentric astrology, where the Earth was considered the center of the universe, to the heliocentric view, where Earth orbits the sun. This shift, though factual, affected our personal outlooks. Our egocentric experiences make us feel like everything revolves around us, yet we’re not taught this in school. I believe this shift led us away from a deeper spirituality. My book introduces simple experiments to help readers realize that the world is within us—we perceive the world because of our consciousness. Enlightenment, I’ve discovered, isn’t a lengthy meditation process but an instantaneous alignment within oneself. This perception shift, from geocentric to heliocentric, altered our understanding, and my book aims to shed light on this loss of perception.
Many people may be new to astrology. Could you share how a typical astrology reading works and what individuals can expect to gain from it?
Astrology readings for clients often start with a question about why they seek the reading. The essence of astrology lies in listening keenly to the client’s words—they’re essentially speaking their own chart. It’s crucial to understand their metaphors, how they describe their experiences, and what’s happening in their lives. Many astrologers tend to predict outcomes, which can sometimes feel fatalistic. Instead, I follow a different approach—I ask clients about their current life situations and then reflect their words within the context of their chart. This helps in understanding past patterns, allowing them to leave with a softer understanding of themselves. My goal in astrology is to empower individuals to understand themselves better. I also believe in handling sensitive topics delicately. In my book, I’ve introduced exercises that bring individuals into the present moment, where regrets about the past lose their grip, and they can explore what’s possible in the now. This approach to astrology has been a learning journey for me over the past five years, offering a fresh perspective compared to traditional methods.
You mention the importance of analyzing birth charts and current transits during readings. How do these elements help individuals better understand their life’s journey and potential?
Astrology education in various schools worldwide follows set standards, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the subject, including complex mathematical concepts like logarithm tables and setting intervals accurately. Previously, conducting advanced mathematics for astrological calculations was rare before the advent of computers. Nowadays, astrology software is readily available, enabling instantaneous chart casting with just a few clicks. However, relying solely on software diminishes the magic of astrology. Drawing a chart by hand, using tools like rulers and compasses, engages the mind and facilitates a deeper connection with the chart symbols. It’s crucial for meaningful interpretation. I encourage individuals to cast their chart using software for ease and accuracy but also to draw it by hand. Doing so allows for a personal and artistic process that fosters self-understanding and growth. It’s a combination that enables a deeper understanding of one’s journey through astrology. This creative approach is not just for astrologers but something clients can embrace as part of their personal enlightenment.
In your extensive experience, have there been any particularly memorable moments where astrology had a profound impact on someone’s life or decision-making process?
I’ve been diving into charts for years, and it’s fascinating how people return, acknowledging something I mentioned before. There’s a sense of satisfaction when they don’t need to return for another consultation because their lives have taken a positive turn after following my suggestions. It’s curious how some forget our past conversations from decades ago and then see how their lives have evolved. I’ve had quite a few memorable moments, aiming to keep readings positive and devoid of any potential misconstrued statements. Even if there’s a challenging aspect in someone’s chart, my focus remains on guiding them through it with an uplifting perspective. Making sure my readings have a profound impact is essential to me.
One of my go-to techniques involves astrocartography and relocation. It’s interesting how someone might be living in a place that isn’t very favorable for them, and through the overlaying of charts on a world map, I can suggest alternative locations. Helping people relocate has been rewarding, especially for American clients with their vast country offering various time zones and choices. Astrocartography tends to work exceptionally well for them. I’ve suggested people try different places around the globe, urging English clients to explore beyond their borders. It’s amazing to hear about the incredible experiences people have had after moving to new locations, experiencing transformative moments, and coming back to share how their lives changed for the better.
Can you explain the concept of destiny within the framework of astrology, and how do astrological insights help individuals navigate their paths in alignment with their destined life experiences and purposes?
I believe we possess a lot of free will, yet we’re also intertwined with habitual patterns. When we’re born, we’re already part of a pattern that continues to unfold as we grow. These patterns, deeply ingrained, become familiar and shape our destiny to a certain extent. Breaking these patterns requires considerable effort, often involving self-healing and understanding.
Consider someone with Saturn square the moon in their chart, signifying a tough relationship with their mother. To break that pattern, they might need to understand their mother’s struggles and perhaps even become a nurturing figure themselves. This process helps them confront their own blocks while aiding others in a similar situation. Each person’s chart comprises various aspects, creating a unique destiny. However, there’s an inherent pattern across generations that can be challenging to break but not impossible through self-understanding and reflection.
Astrology not only reveals one’s unique destiny but also forecasts when significant events might occur. For instance, every seven years, a Saturn transit might bring about certain changes. By reflecting on past experiences and understanding these patterns, individuals can potentially alter their paths or evolve. Relocation to a different geographical location might also significantly influence one’s destiny, offering a chance to change the entire environment and reshape one’s life.
