How did you get into Yoga and what sparked your interest in it?

As a former dance company owner, movement has always been an integral part of my life. My journey into yoga began in the early 2000s. Initially, it was driven by my curiosity as a dancer – I was eager to master headstands and those intriguing yoga poses.

Fast forward about 15 years, a friend of mine became a certified yoga instructor. I decided to attend a few of their classes to show support. Little did I know, this experience would lead to a profound transformation. Yoga transcended the physical realm, touching me on mental and spiritual levels. It was an awakening I couldn’t ignore.

Realizing the depth of what yoga had to offer, I made the decision to become a certified instructor. Since then, I’ve been passionately leading classes, eager to share this beautiful journey with others.

What ideas and principles are your Intuitive wellness and life coaching based on?

My Intuitive wellness and life coaching is rooted in several core ideas and principles, which serve as the foundation for the work I do. Here are some of the key concepts:

Holistic Well-being: I believe in treating individuals as whole beings, addressing not only their physical health but also their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. I consider all aspects of a person’s life when working with them.

Self-Awareness: A fundamental principle is helping clients develop a deep understanding of themselves. Self-awareness is the first step towards making positive changes in one’s life.

Mindfulness: Mindfulness is a central component of my coaching. It involves being fully present in the moment, cultivating awareness, and reducing stress through techniques like meditation and deep breathing.

Intuition: I encourage clients to tap into their intuition and inner wisdom. It’s a powerful guide for making life decisions and finding solutions to challenges.

Goal Setting and Action Plans: I work with clients to set clear, achievable goals and create actionable plans to reach them. This involves breaking down larger objectives into smaller, manageable steps.

Can you walk me through one of your Reiki sessions?

Certainly! A Reiki session is a gentle and non-invasive energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and holistic well-being. Here’s a walkthrough of what a typical Reiki session looks like:

I create a peaceful and calming environment in a quiet, comfortable room. The recipient will typically lie fully clothed on a massage table or sit in a comfortable chair, depending on preference. I then explain the Reiki process to the recipient, ensuring they’re comfortable and aware of what to expect.

I use this time to also invite them to set an intention for the session. That could be a specific goal or a general desire for relaxation and healing. I begin by gently placing my hands on or near various parts of your body. Reiki can also be administered without physical touch if preferred.

I use a series of hand positions, which correspond to the body’s energy centers (chakras), moving through a sequence designed to promote energy flow and balance. As the session progresses, myself or recipient may feel various sensations, such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. These sensations can vary from person to person. The Reiki session encourages deep relaxation, which can help alleviate stress and tension. It’s common for recipients to enter a meditative state during the session.

As the practitioner I act as a channel for universal life force energy (Reiki), directing it to the areas of your body that may need healing or balance. The energy is believed to work on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, helping to release blockages and promote well-being.

The session will typically last around 45 minutes to an hour, but the duration can vary. When the session is complete, I will gently guide the recipient back to full awareness.

After the session, we discuss the experience. They may provide insights or guidance based on the session’s energy flow.

I provide a diverse range of services to support your holistic well-being. These offerings include personalized one-on-one yoga sessions, engaging group yoga sessions, corporate wellness programs, intuitive massage therapy, revitalizing Thai massage, specialized prenatal yoga and massage, informative wellness workshops, inspiring events, rejuvenating retreats, and, in the near future, valuable nutritional services.
