Maggie Clark‘s spiritual journey began with a transformative Tarot reading at 20. Mentored for 16 years, she has evolved into a seasoned spiritual coach, with principles grounded in four life tenets and universal laws. Her holistic approach extends from energy healing to astrology and Tarot, while her podcast, “The Goddess, The Witch & The Womb,” explores the divine feminine, and the Psychic Evolution Mystery School, co-founded with her husband Jamie Clark, nurtures spiritual growth. How did you get into spiritual coaching and what sparked your interest in the field?
At the age of 20, I had a few spiritual awakening experiences. One was receiving a Tarot reading. I sat in front of this goofy old man and had this wonderful reading that completely transformed my ideas of reality. It was like all of a sudden someone was speaking a language that I knew in my heart I needed to hear and know. We talked about the meaning of life. It was a soul reading so it was very profound and it activated many feelings of why I was here on this planet but I didn’t have the words or the language for them yet. That one reading transformed my whole idea of reality and my whole purpose for living. All of a sudden, I understood that there was a reason I was here. This reading transformed my life. It’s like the wool got pulled off of my eyes and I suddenly woke up.
Marion was the name of the person who gave me this reading, and he became my mentor. I was his apprentice for 16 years and in that apprenticeship, I studied metaphysics, astrology, Tarot, energy healing, etc. The list goes on and on, but it was a fantastic opportunity to really train with someone who had been doing this for a very long time.
I started spiritual coaching when I had studied enough and was far enough along in my journey, which was around the time when I was six months in. That’s when my mentor said, “Hey, I have a student for you and I think you could be a really good coach for this person”. That’s where it started. I started spiritual coaching when I was 20 years old and I’ve been doing it since. Over the 30 years that I’ve been in the spiritual field, I continue to do coaching to this day. I love to use metaphysics and astrology as a part of my coaching techniques because it’s so much of what I studied and my practice.
What ideas and principles is your coaching based on?
There are 4 primary principles that I base my coaching on. We can call them the 4 tenants of life. The first one is “To thine own self be true and all else will follow. If not, nothing else will”. The second one is “You are not your brother’s keeper. You are your brother’s helper. As a matter of fact, you are your brother”. The third one is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Only do it first”. The last one is “There is only one kind of love and that is unconditional love. Everything else is control and manipulation”.
These are the primary principles that I will use for my spiritual coaching. These are fundamental truths that you can find in ancient philosophy and many major religions and spirituality-based religions. These principles help you discover that there are only two jobs that you have in every lifetime. The first job is to find yourself, and the second job is to be what you find. Everything else kind of is cake and icing at that point because what we have here thinking about spiritual coaching is that we work off these fundamental principles, these ideas, these concepts, these universal laws, and these natural laws of the universe, as well as the truths of the universe. Then I meet the individual where they are at, based on what they believe, what they want to change, do, and improve, where they’re headed, how are they going to get there, etc.
When I structure a coaching plan that’s really based on the individual, where they are at, what they believe, and what their belief system is, then the goal is for them to find a way to learn how to apply all these spiritual beliefs into their everyday life. The main focus is on how I apply the spiritual truths that I learned, that I gained, and that I believe, and make them work for everyday life experiences. Whether it’s work, meeting with friends, or anything else, no matter what happens in life, you have something you can apply or something that you can do to activate your own spirituality in those places and spaces called life.
My coaching practice is also based on the natural laws of the universe. We have several natural laws that we work with as we are in the human body and the human experience. These natural laws include the law of mentalism, the law of vibration, the law of cause and effect, the law of correspondence, etc. You may have heard “As above, so below; As within, so without”. So there are several natural laws that we can learn about and tune into to help expand and work with all the natural energies provided to us while we are here on this planet.
What healing services do you provide?
I provide a few different healing services. In my hands-on practice in Phoenix, Arizona, I am a Jin Shin Jyutsu® practitioner for humans and animals. That is a beautiful healing technique coming from Japan. It’s more like a healing art based on the breath of life and bringing balance into body, mind, and spirit through opening up the life energies in the body. It is a very gentle hands-modality. It’s very beautiful, and it’s actually one of my favorites.
I also offer craniosacral therapy and do some remote healing services that can work with balancing the chakras. Additionally, I work with Archangel Raphael and Green Tara for sessions that involve guided visualization/meditation types of energies. Those are working with archangel Raphael and Green Tara as a channeled energy, and a channeled healing experience.
Another one of my healing services is Canine massage. I’m a huge animal lover and I absolutely love to work with animals, usually using Jin Shin Jyutsu®, but also canine massage for the dogs.
Your work also includes astrology and tarot readings. Can you tell me some details about that?
Astrology consultations are typically based on your natal chart. They can also be done for solar returns, for transiting planets, to see what’s going to arise and how you might be affected by some future transiting planets as they go across your chart. In astrology, at the time of your birth, when you take your first breath, it’s time-stamped, so we have the exact time you’re born. At that time, if you were to take a picture where all the planets were orbiting Earth at that time, it would be a picture of your energetic blueprint, of how your energies are affected by these cosmic celestial beings called planets.
In astrology, you can learn what your energetic blueprint is. You can learn the high vibrations, the low vibrations, where you’re challenged, where things come easy, etc. When you work with your chart, you can also learn how to optimize the energy that you came in for and move everything to a high vibration, so that you are evolving and expanding and growing all the time into your potential. So, the astrology consultations are based primarily on where you’re at and their goal is to learn the energetic blueprint that you came into this life for, as well as what you want to work with as the seasons change and as you come back to your birthday every year, and how the planets are affecting you now in your life.
For the Tarot readings, I offer several types of readings. One is a soul reading to discover your purpose, why you came here, strengths that you came into this lifetime with, projects that you wanted to go through, outcomes that you wanted to manifest, and how you get there. It works with an energetic dynamic of “Ok, what exactly did I come here for? Why am I here on this planet at this time?”.

What topics does your The Goddess, The Witch & The Womb podcast cover?
The Goddess, The Witch & The Womb podcast is a podcast to help you reclaim your divine feminine birthright and heal with ancestral wisdom, self-love, and sacred sexuality. A lot of the topics that we cover will be about goddesses, their history, some of their stories, and how that affects us now as modern-day women, witches, and goddesses, as we are growing into our potential. We also cover historical witches who have been able to profoundly impact humanity, as well as the womb aspect, which is how we manifest with our magic, how we manifest from our creative space called the womb, and what needs to heal. All the hosts – myself, Harmony, and April, are healers. We are all profoundly empowered feminine energies that really appreciate sacred divine feminine. All the subjects that we cover will be about the divine feminine and about how we can process and heal any type of ancestral energy from the past, how we can move forward as modern-day spiritual beings, and how we can be divinely empowered in our lives.
It’s a very rich show, and it’s super fun. One of the other 2 hosts, April, is a historian and a healer. She practices Reiki and some shamanic healing. She does intuitive life coaching, as well. You are also a co-founder of the Psychic Evolution Mystery School. What’s the idea behind it?
Another aspect of my work that I love to bring a little focus to is that I absolutely love to teach and ignite the flame of higher wisdom in others. It’s truly a passion of mine. My husband, Jamie Clark, and I came together to form the Psychic Evolution Mystery School to help people learn the basics of spiritual growth. Whether it’s developing your psychic and mediumship abilities, learning Tarot, or even learning astrology, we have full video classes to learn this from the ground up so that you have a really good basis going forward for all the spiritual development and psychic development that you would want. They can help people learn how to use these cards for themselves, how to read astrology charts, how to talk to their spirit guides, etc. There’s a plethora of classes in our Psychic Evolution mystery school.
