Could you tell us more about your journey into Integrative Psychiatry and Energy Psychology? What inspired you to pursue this unique combination of modalities to help others?
I have always had a keen sense of intuition and an awareness that we are more than we appear. Some of my early experiences with psychiatry were notable for the changes that occurred in my client’s lives when I focused on more than just their Biochemistry. When we focus on ourselves as an energy system consisting of contributions from mind, body, emotion and spirit (belief) it becomes something of a multidimensional approach, rather than a linear one. We open a doorway, if you will, to new levels of healing. It has been uniquely satisfying to witness the resulting changes in my clients’ lives.
In The Space of Love offers a variety of services, from online individual therapy to meditation classes and oracle card readings. How do these different modalities complement each other in providing holistic healing and support for your clients?
My practice website has undergone many name changes, but intrinsic to each has been the variety of services you mentioned. In the Space of Love remains my social media/ blog site whereas my practice is actually called Work of Angels. This change was done to honor the tireless intervention by these amazing Beings in our lives. One does not have to believe in them personally to benefit from the integrative approach that my work offers. The prevailing theme of meditation classes, therapy, energy psychology techniques, and oracle card readings is to make what is unconscious conscious. Doing so is something that offers us choices in now only how we show up in the world and it helps us choose how we respond to events in our lives. This shift alone can make true healing possible.
The Healing Angel Protocol™ sounds intriguing. Could you explain how this Shamanic therapy works and how it helps clients connect with the highest possible Divine Frequency for healing and growth?
The Healing Angel Protocol™ was channeled by my friend and mentor Phoenix Rising Star. It is a consciousness-expanding modality for light workers or anyone who seeks to embody more of their own Divinity by becoming The Hollow Bone of Healing, that is, a vessel for the transmission of Divine frequencies. It takes each student through the process of Opening to the assistance of their Angelic Helpers and connecting to the Divine in many of its forms. This is followed by the Healing, which is a focus on 22 areas where we might store cellular memory imprints that limit our ability to heal and manifest our heart’s desires.
The third part of this process is guided by Archangel Metatron and is the (re) Activation of the Sacred Geometry that is a part of our bioenergetic field for the purposes of healing and manifestation. As a teacher and practitioner of this modality, I invite my clients to focus upon how they would like their lives to be different as a result of this session. I then serve as that Hollow Bone to be a vessel for the energy and messages that are channeled from only the highest of the highest Spiritual Helpers that present on that client’s behalf.
Epigenetics plays a significant role in our well-being, and our perceptions can affect our emotional and physical health. How do you help clients shift their perceptions and create positive cellular memory imprints to support their wellness?
I think it’s always important to define epigenetic influences: Epigeneitcs is the study of changes to the expression of our genes that occurs without there being changes to our DNA itself. It came as a shock that perception, that is the conclusions we draw about ourselves, our world, our experiences is one such factor that can affect this change. For example, in an article published last February, researchers were able to document how trauma experienced by a pregnant woman, or more specifically her interpretation of it, can be passed on to her child. This energetic “imprint”, also known as cellular memory in what is being expressed or carried forward by her baby.
Cellular memory imprints are typically where we get stuck in some area of our lives despite our best efforts to overcome it. It is like we are operating on unconscious autopilot, unknowingly manifesting the things we don’t want; attracting to us people and circumstances we don’t need. I use three different Energy Psychology tools to help clients expand their perspective on an experience to include something more empowering. The event itself may be distasteful by anyone’s definition but our interpretation and response to it becomes considerably more empowering so that we are able to move past it. In doing so we become more powerful “magnets” to the experiences we do want to attract. This is the outcome we all want to see. These tools are Integrated Energy Therapy®, The Healing Angel Protocol™, and the Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as Tapping.
Your practice focuses on the mind-body-energy system and returning the body to a state of harmony. Could you share a success story where your therapeutic modalities helped a client experience lasting changes and transformation in their life journey?
People are often curious about how this works and just as curious as to how a traditionally trained psychiatrist integrates this into practice. One of my favorite cases involved a woman who came to my office seeking help for her depression. She shared that she worked in a corporate environment on commission and was not doing well with it. She had been twice demoted, and even ridiculed by her male colleagues. She was a single mom who had lost her home and was now living in a room she was renting from a friend along with her 17 year-old adopted daughter. Although her greatest desire was to become a published author, she felt bound to this job financially and socially.
With her depression came a sense of hopelessness and helplessness as well as decreased energy. We made some changes to her medication regimen and she made some measurable progress, but the breakthrough came when we performed an Integrated Energy Therapy® session. This technique involves the channeling of Angels energy into common areas of cellular memory imprint “sites”. This includes those ways in which we are compromised by a sense of unworthiness, fear, shame, heartache, struggle or judgment (ours as well as another’s), to name a few. The goal is the release of the imprint, while integrating the harmony that is typically found there when we are in our most empowered state.
While placing my hands on the cellular memory area for anger/resentment (that is related to judgment), I “saw” a beautiful infant that I intuitively knew was not her daughter. Unsure of how to interpret it, I asked her at the end and she became totally silent. Her response was “How did you know? I’ve never told anyone about that”. Something that she had not shared, despite my taking what I thought was a thorough history, was her being raised in an extremely abusive environment. Her father had abused alcohol and would become so violent that she and her mother would have to hide from him. At 17, she became pregnant and didn’t feel she could raise a child in that environment . Although she desperately wanted this baby, she chose not to keep it and 40 years later, was still affected by the anger and the resentment this caused.
We typically recognize cellular memory imprints by the undesirable patterns we see in our lives. Her adult experiences of not being able to have the choice of how she lived her life was a direct consequence of this cellular memory imprint that began as mental and emotional energy as a teenager. This energy became the “attractant factor” of the type of experiences she would have. With this clarity, she was able to find the courage to leave an unsupportive situation. Months later she had relocated, and had found a new job she enjoyed. She no longer needed to be treated for her depression. If you observed the correlation between her experience at age 17 and her daughter being the same age, it was a “trigger-point”. It is one of the ways in which our vastly powerful unconscious mind can bring to our conscious attention, those conditions that we are tolerating that are not aligned with our best interests. In doing so, it gives us the choice of freeing ourselves. In her case it released several decades of living in a disempowered state. My work is as a facilitator for this type of transformation.
