Richard Schickel is a natural-born intuitive. He learned how to harness his spiritual gifts and developed them into being a gifted psychic medium, medical intuitive and healer. In this feature, Richard shares insights into his journey and advice on overcoming obstacles.
When did your passion for helping others begin and what inspired you to guide people in their life challenges?
I have always wanted to be of service to other people. That is probably why I worked for the Internal Revenue service for 33 years and still have a tax preparation business. People need help in so many ways. After 40, God made me sick and healed me. and told me to be more public with sharing my psychic gifts which I had had to keep under the table since youth.
What services do you offer?
I am a healer. Sometimes, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. I am a medical intuitive, because our bodies function as one unit. You can’t have a broken heart without having been wounded by some person or circumstance. To do this I am super intuitive, empathic, psychic and mystic. I have a gift for knowing what troubles my clients. I just see things, feel things, smell, know, and have all the gifts of 1st Corinthians.
In your experience in working with people, what would you say is the number one thing that holds most people back from living the fulfilling life they would like to live?
Fear holds people back. Fear of consequences, fear of failure, fear of fear! My motto is “F*ck Fear!”
Do you have any words of wisdom to share with our readers in overcoming obstacles in their lives?
Respect and honor your ego. It has probably saved your life more times than you know. Use ego to create a safe space where spiritual connection can be made. Sometimes thru, prayer, meditation, masturbation. Whatever the hell it takes to calm you down so you can reconnect with your higher self. So you remember who you are.
You are dying and one day will be dead. What are you going to do with that knowledge? People live a lot longer on average these days. Get out and figure out what your “Mission” is for this next segment of your life is. Then determine what your is your “passion”. What would you do every day even if you never made any money doing it. Then make your plans for the future. Have fun! Don’t let others judge you.
