This week we had the opportunity to speak with Jennifer Fields, a Holistic and Intuitive Life Coach. We discussed her beginnings, find out more about her Life Coaching sessions, and how she maintains a relationship of mutual trust with customers.
What inspired you to start your coaching business and how did your career develop?
I was inspired to start my coaching business when I found myself so driven to help others who had shared a similar path as a parent of a child with high functioning autism (Asperger’s Syndrome). I was passionate about finding all the resources I could to help families like mine move more fluidly through life. Parents and some professionals were interested in my ideas and my techniques and ability to research and create outlets for these families. I found that my ability to gather resources as well as use my intuitive gift was a superpower of sorts and could also benefit typical families and relationships and those seeking to find their way in a new career or life path. It grew into something much bigger than me… it was a total calling from God to do His work in this way.

How would you define Holistic and Intuitive Life Coaching?
Spiritual and insightful coaching for the mind, body, soul, with a focus on spiritual growth and healing.
Can you describe one of your coaching sessions?
I begin with an interview and allow the client to explain their view of their current life challenges and the goals they have for themselves if any. It is during this time that I can tell if my services are appropriate for the client. They usually have direct questions for me to intuit and discern, which I do along with adding some guidance and wisdom to help them progress and learn from their experiences. Sessions usually last anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour. Some of my sessions are done over a text message.
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with customers?
I feel the thing that sets me apart from other life coaches or psychic readers is my education and background in psychology. I believe in building confidential bonds with my clients and assuring them of their privacy. I do my best to create a non-judgmental atmosphere where they can expand their energy, be it good or bad, and be their true self. I want to offer a resting place for those who have become so entangled they need a safe space to unwind and become whole again.
What do you love most about your profession?
I love being there for people and I love feeling that I am doing something to help someone not be so alone in their troubles. I love to offer hope and direction based on my own experiences of being lost, which happens to us over and over in life. I love it when I feel that connection with someone and that because of our conversation they leave a little lighter with much more clarity than before. I love that God uses me this way.
