When did you first realize you have a gift?
For me, it is a natural desire to help others feel better that has evolved from my own life-long journey of self-discovery and inner healing. I know how liberating the journey has been for me (and continues to be), and my wish is for others to experience their own gift of inner freedom and a deeper connection to their own true self.
What kind of therapies do you offer?
I am a trauma-informed Holistic Therapist. I offer an integrative approach to helping my clients using my toolkit of holistic energy-based therapies that are focused on inner healing, emotional well-being, and personal transformation. I also offer Holistic Business Mentoring for women.
I use a number of healing modalities that include EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Meditation, Mindfulness, Spirituality, Reiki Healing, Crystal Healing, Inner Child Healing, and Parts Work. The intention is to get to the root cause of what is holding my clients back from what they want to experience in their life whether it be better health, more joy, peace or abundance, more meaningful relationships or careers, or freedom from self-limiting beliefs.
How would you describe Trauma-Informed Approach?
The trauma-informed approach means that all I offer is a level of awareness and understanding of how emotional trauma affects people and impacts their day-to-day living.
When trauma occurs, it can affect a person’s sense of self, their perception of others, and their beliefs about the world. A person affected by trauma may develop coping mechanisms to help alleviate the emotional pain they feel as a result of the trauma which can keep them stuck in physical, emotional, or behavioral habits.
Trauma is not held in any traumatic event but in the way, the body, and specifically the nervous system, is able to cope with the trauma. A person can become traumatized when their nervous system does not have the ability to respond to a perceived overwhelming threat in a way that is helpful to the body. The body can then become stuck in the overwhelming stress response of fight, flight, or freeze, which continues long after the traumatic event has passed.
When it comes to healing and regulating our nervous systems, we can’t just talk our way into creating the shifts and changes we desire for ourselves. As the emotional energy of unprocessed trauma is stored in our bodies, for us to experience lasting shifts and changes, we need to process this energy out through our bodies too. I help my clients do this, by using safe and gentle practices that incorporate the mind, body, emotional and spiritual aspects of our being.
What results can a person expect from Holistic Healing?
The purpose of Holistic Healing is to support a person’s emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being so that they can experience the inner freedom to live their best possible life. My intention is always to help my clients experience a more peaceful, joyful & resourceful state of being from which they can then go on to live a more purposeful and fulfilling life. We work together to gently & safely heal the emotional & energetic root cause of what’s holding them back from experiencing the life they want for themselves.
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with customers?
For me, the most important detail is creating a safe, confidential, compassionate, and empathetic environment for my clients in which they feel safe enough to be seen, heard, understood, and validated. That is, they feel free to speak their truth, knowing all parts of them are welcome and given a voice without judgment.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is witnessing the changes in my clients over time once they have committed to their healing journey. It is always a joy to witness the natural glow of inner peace and contentment that my clients exude that comes from experiencing deeper inner freedom and connection to their own true selves. Inner freedom is the key to outer growth and success. As my clients experience these inner transformations then slowly but surely they start to see these changes reflected in their life experiences too.
