MysticMag’s Marko Velimirovic had the opportunity to interview Leo Brown – one of the most sought after psychic mediums/entertainment personalities and motivational speakers. We discussed his beginnings, relationship with customers, and the affect of Covid-19 outbreak on his business.
When did you first realize you have a psychic gift, and how was your career developing?
In truth, I didn’t know that I was what you would call a “psychic” as in my family we didn’t call it that. We called it gifted or we’d say that person is touched. So it was something that was very natural to me. As we all have psychic abilities. In the beginning, I wanted to pursue a career in entertainment. I wasn’t thinking about doing this as a career. Actually, my best friend encouraged me to get into this as he thought I had a knack for working with people. The rest as they say is history.
What is the most popular type of reading that customers are looking for? What are the most common concerns that interest them?
Love and Money. Really it’s emotional stability and financial security. Which I understand why those two things interest people. Because we all want to feel desired, cared for and safe. Who doesn’t want that? You know?
Are some types of psychic readings more demanding or difficult than others?
Yes. That would be anything having to do with the spirit world. As those types of readings can be very emotional and overwhelming for everyone involved. Also the spirit world can be tricky. As some of the answers that you get may not make sense at first.
Some of the psychic sessions are still performed in person. What about you? How has your work been affected by the pandemic?
That’s a great question! For me, it has made my work busier! I still perform in person sessions. However, I make sure to take the appropriate safety precautions. Though most of my sessions are done through the phone or video-chat.
What advice would you give to a fledgling psychic reader? Is it better for them to work independently or as a part of a team?
To a fledgling psychic I would say know your strengths and weaknesses. No one is perfect or 100% accurate and if they are. I’ve got a few rivers to sell you. When starting out, I think it’s best to work with a team. As you can learn from one another. As you grow, slowly branch out on your own.
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with customers?
Begin someone they can relate to. Begin authentic. I’m not perfect nor do I want to be. I’m learning and making mistakes like everyone else. Once they see that you are comfortable with yourself, the trust falls into place.
